At Western Michigan University, we believe parents and families are valued partners in each student’s educational progress. Our services and programs are designed to help you support your student’s growth, personal development and overall success, beginning as a prospective student and continuing throughout the college years to graduation. Whether you live across town or halfway around the globe, we will engage you in the University experience while fostering your student’s independence.

As the parent or family member of a WMU student, you are automatically a member of the WMU Family Connection. Simply activate your membership by registering your email address so that we can stay connected to you. You will receive electronic newsletters that include important date reminders, transition tips, information about upcoming events and campus news.

If you need any assistance, please contact me at or (269) 387-4820. Feel free to stop by my office, located in Faunce Student Services Building, whenever you visit campus.

I look forward to meeting you!

Shari Glaser, Director
Parent and Family Programs

WMU appreciates parents and family members as valued partners in your student's education and we strive to provide appropriate and timely communications and programming through the Parent and Family Programs office.

We know that parents and family members use information in many different ways. We invite you to take a survey about the services offered through Parent and Family Programs and if those services are meeting your needs.

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, anonymous and will not affect your (or your student's)current or future relationship with WMU. In appreciation for your time, we invite you to enter a drawing at the conclusion of the survey for a Family Weekend 2016 package, including tailgate, football, and Sunday brunch tickets.
