Club Sports

Get in on the action

Club sports are a place for fun physical activity, to improve your athletic and leadership skills and find fast friends.

What's even better is that all of our club sports are managed by students. Whatever commitment level you're looking for or if you want to get involved in organizing activities, you'll be able to work alongside like-minded peers and create great memories.

Students who participate in club sports gain:

  • Leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Knowledge of organizational networks and risk management.
  • Communication and nonverbal cues as well as emotional development skills.
  • Personal involvement and pride for Western Michigan University.

Sports Club Council advocates for all club sports

The Sports Club Council at WMU provides resources and support to help ensure the growth of club teams. To be an active member, clubs must be registered with the Office of Student Engagement, have a constitution on file, participate in fundraisers and attend the bimonthly council meetings.
