The Esports program at WMU provides students with the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of competitive gaming. Our Esports Arena, located on East Campus, combines multiple gaming stations with state of the art production capabilities. Esports offers opportunities for recreational and competitive gaming along with hands-on experiences for those looking to gain experience in the gaming world.

Overwatch 2 Spring Classic
Join us on Satruday, April 12 for an exciting collegiate Overwatch 2 LAN tournament at the WMU Esports Arena in Kalamazoo, MI! This event brings together the best collegiate teams to compete in a thrilling showdown of skill, strategy, and teamwork. Admission is free. Competition will also be available on the WMU Esports Twitch channel.
Bronco Beatdown
Join us for our monthly fighting game tournaments to win monetary prizes! We offer events in Tekken 8, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter 6, and more! There are fees associated with participation in this event (discounts available for WMU students), and event is open to WMU and the local community.
Arena Open Play
Join us most Fridays from 7 to 11 p.m. for open gaming at the Esports Arena.
Esports Summer Camps
Our Esports summer camps are an introductory series to competitive Esports for students entering grades 6 through 12 in the fall. Visit our summer camp website for all of the details, including pricing and registration.
