Bio:

Cathryn Bailey is a professor of gender and women’s studies at Western Michigan University where she regularly offers courses in gender and science, LGBT and queer studies, and feminist theory. Her scholarly work has explored these same themes, focusing on epistemological and ethical issues in a way that highlights feminist, pragmatist and Buddhist approaches, including, for example, a series of articles on animal ethics. Dr. Bailey earned her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Missouri in 1994 and has also held positions at Minnesota State and Duke University.
