Katherine Brown

Katherine Brown is a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Gender and Women's Studies at Western Michigan University.  As an intersectional criminologist, specializing in women's victimization, Katherine examines state criminality as well as the role of power systems on peoples' lived experiences.  An expert in research methods, she also explores pedagogical and andragogical techniques in both formal and nonformal settings with a specific interest in trauma-informed care within the undergraduate classroom and victims' services.
