ExpressJet, Delta put aviation students on career pathway

The WMU/ExpressJet Airline Pilot Pathway Program —AP3—will allow WMU aviation students to begin a pilot screening process early in their WMU careers that will prepare them for and guarantee jobs as first officers with ExpressJet. Successfully meeting all the screening requirements will also guarantee participating students an interview for a position as a pilot with Delta Air Lines.

ISM students finish first among undergrads at regional competition

Industrious students meet tough academic challenge

Each year, it offers scholarships, advising, tutoring, mentoring, job and leadership opportunities, and other services to around 200 students. Last year, 61.5 percent of participants maintained a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA.

Students win two categories, $10,000 in statewide competition

The competition provides funding to dozens of student and faculty-led teams with innovative, renewable energy ideas. The challenge enables teams to go from idea to venture launch during a six-month program. "Our students did an incredible job with this year's challenge," says Barcley Johnson , management instructor and advisor to the teams. "The competition level was even more challenging than last year, and our students rose to the top and were very competitive."
