Book-It Campaign
On Friday, November 15, students, faculty and staff collected, sorted, stickered and boxed more than 3,100 new and gently used books that have been distributed to elementary school classrooms across the community. The goal to donate 2,500 books was easily surpassed. Thank you to those who donated books and volunteered their time.
United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region is taking part in a campaign to receive 15,000 new or gently used children’s books — representing every child between kindergarten and third grade in the region. WMU is hoping to donate 2,500 books to the drive. If you would like to take part, there are boxes placed in different buildings campuswide. Books will be collected until October 31.
