The Western Michigan University Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program is pleased to announce the hiring of Lisbeth Morales as the new director of the WMU Kalamazoo Promise Scholars Program and associate director of Multicultural Affairs for Students.

A proud Kalamazoo native, Morales is a two-time Western Michigan University graduate and a Kalamazoo Promise recipient, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to her new leadership role. Her appointment marks a continued commitment to advancing student success and enhancing the collegiate experience for Promise Scholars at WMU.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available Oct. 1 and covers the academic year from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Completing the FAFSA is essential for students seeking financial support for college, as it provides access to grants, scholarships and federal student loans for the upcoming academic year.
