Beef production is often cited as a driver of climate change, but Jason Rowntree wants everyone — from beef producers to the public —to learn how it can operate in tandem with nature.

About the Speaker:

Jason Rowntree is an associate professor in the Department of Animal Science at Michigan State University and a C.S. Mott Professor of Sustainable Agriculture. Rowntree’s research focus is identifying the metrics and management practices that reflect ecological improvement in grazing land systems. His work in beef sustainability has been featured in the movie Sacred Cow, The Washington Post, New York Times, Forbes, and many other publications.
