General summary

Oversees the processes associated with the University’s affiliation status with the Higher Learning Commission and other institutional planning processes.

Major duties

  • Serves as the institutional Accreditation Liaison Officer with the Higher Learning Commission. Leads, implements, and communicates institutional wide processes to ensure accreditation compliance with the Higher Learning Commission.
  • Researches, analyzes and interprets new guidance to ensure accreditation compliance.
  • Initiates and maintains collaborative working relationships with university stakeholders to develop, implement, and lead the university’s reaffirmation of accreditation processes with the Higher Learning Commission.
  • Initiates, develops, leads, and implements institutional-level strategic planning processes as requested by university leadership. Assists with unit-level strategic planning.
  • Contributes to university departments on institutional cross-collaborative standing and, ad hoc committees, and external committees as identified.
  • Assists with data collection, analysis, and reporting for institutional effectiveness initiatives, including regional and specialized program accreditation, strategic planning and integrated program review and national councils.
  • Provides input in financial decisions related to institutional effectiveness resources to the institutions, divisions, and offices mission and goals. Works with institutional effectiveness leadership to set strategic priorities for the office.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Project management skills.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
