General summary

Manages enrollment and coordinates updates to student academic records.

Major duties

  • Reports enrollment, tuition feed and grades for students receiving Veterans Affairs benefits in compliance with Veterans Affairs deadlines and procedures. Monitors enrollment and report changes to the Veterans Affairs. Completes enrollment and benefit verifications as required by the individual military branches.
  • Responds to inquiries from the National Student Clearinghouse. Resolves errors in reports and enrollment concerns. Researches enrollment information provided to lenders.
  • Assists in clerical duties for the Registrars office, including answering phone calls. Serves as the main point of contact for students, in assistance with records and registration needs. Ensures the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act guidelines are met and information is accurate and current.
  • Manages academic transcripts, including entering study abroad, advanced placement, international baccalaureate, and grades. Collaborates with the Haenicke Institute for Global Education and Admissions office to develop procedures and resolve issues.
  • Provides ongoing assistance to Veterans Affairs students with their paperwork and tuition assistance funds.
  • Processes grade changes. Determines and updates a student’s academic standing as needed. Organizes student documents and ensures accurate and timely document retrieval.
  • Supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Some college coursework from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
