General summary

Assists with grant-funded projects, including project timelines and meetings, data management, and budget support.

Major duties

  • Tracks project timelines, including milestones. Coordinates project meetings.
  • Assists with data management of assigned projects. Assists senior researchers in implementing projects, including the preparations of grant and contract proposals. Ensures grant and contract specifications are compliant.
  • Plans, allocates and controls budget and accounting functions for assigned projects. Ensures fiscal integrity, recommends appropriate solutions and prepares operating reports to reflect current budget.
  • Responds to and resolves inquiries from funding partners.
  • Coordinates and develops project outreach and communication plans. Develops, updates, and maintains content on project websites and social media. Analyzes website usage statistics. Prepares reports based on findings.
  • May assist with conferences, including organizing materials, making, making travel arrangements, and organizing networking events.
  • May provide direct assistance to end users.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Six months’ relevant experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
