General summary

Oversees day to day operations of the instruction technology center which develops and delivers training. Provides support to instructors on the use of instructional technology in a lead capacity.

Major duties

  • Designs, plans and facilitates relevant training sessions including leading the preparation, reviewing, and publishing of training and self-help documents for end users.
  • Develops and implements procedures governing instructional technology center support activities in a lead capacity.
  • Responds to instructional technology support requests. Analyzes support requests to identify trends, improve end user documentation and support procedures.
  • Serves as primary liaison between internal clients and external companies for purposes of reporting and resolving technical issues that affect systems used for teaching and learning.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitasking.
  • Experience in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
