General summary

Creates and maintains partnerships between designated institutions. Constructs, organizes, and implements new articulated agreements and manages curriculum processes.

Major duties

  • Oversees strategic partnership initiatives, Including the development of new partnership agreements with community colleges.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with primary contacts at community colleges. Collaborates with program faculty, recruiters, advisors, and other potential partners across the University.
  • Assists with development of recruitment materials for partners and transfer students.
  • Leads articulation meetings with University and community college leadership and external stakeholders. Oversees and manages course evaluation articulation. Provides resources, training, and assistance concerning transfer and articulation activities to college stakeholders.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of institutional policies and procedures for articulation agreements and credit evaluation.
  • Researches, organizes, and drafts articulated program agreements for review by internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates signing and implementation of finalized agreements. Monitors changes to programs and submits updates for review, signing and formalization.
  • Develops and maintains expertise in articulation and articulated program agreement components as well as Michigan Department of Education (MDE) standards, program requirements, guidelines, and processes.
  • Collaborates with faculty to develop, submit, and track proposals into Curriculum Management System, including the creation of Curriculum Management System training materials. Creates agendas, takes minutes, and monitors proposal progress from launch to completion for the college Curriculum Committee.
  • Conducts site visits as needed to facilitate and monitors the development of partnership agreements. Coordinate community college recruitment with the college recruiter.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in higher education and advising students.
  • Understanding of Michigan Department of Education requirements and guidelines for curriculum and articulation of classes.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
