General summary

Manages the final steps of the curriculum process. Maintains the Graduate and Undergraduate catalogs and the University’s degree audit software.

Major duties

  • Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and testing university degree audit software. Develops, updates, and revises programs and courses, ensuring compliance with university requirements. Monitors software usage.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the office. Develops, implements, and analyzes policies, procedures, and work standards for the office.
  • Makes decisions, attends meetings, represents, and speaks on behalf of the registrar in their absence.
  • Participates in verification for student athletes. Manages the final steps of the curriculum process that creates, deletes, or modifies courses and programs. Coordinates with various curriculum and faculty senate committees to review curriculum proposals.
  • Facilitates updating courses in the student information system and the annual production of the Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs. Updates the student information system with the course changes approved through the curriculum process.
  • Resolves issues that arise with prerequisites and restrictions when students are registering for classes. Assists departments in maintaining appropriate requirements for their courses.
  • Manages the graduation auditing area. Coordinates with the supervisor of graduation auditing to resolve issues. Monitors, manages, and updates the graduation application process. Incorporates technology into the process to provide better service.
  • Codes in the student information system. Creates western identification numbers for instructors and resolves duplicate discrepancies. Collaborates with Institutional research in correcting student records in the student information system.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
