The Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Sigma International Honor Society of Nursing is affiliated with the WMU Bronson School of Nursing. The Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Sigma is affiliated with the WMU Bronson School of Nursing. The vision of Sigma is Connected, empowered nurse leaders transforming global healthcare. The mission of Sigma is Developing nurse leaders anywhere to improve healthcare everywhere.
Sigma's strategic goals that guide the organization:

Membership
There are typically two reasons one can be inducted into an honor society:
- Academic achievement:
WMU BSN students (senior nursing level) would be in the upper 35 percent of their class and hold a GPA 3.0 or better. WMU MSN students would hold a GPA 3.5 or better. - Professional standing:
Community members who have demonstrated achievement in the areas of nursing education, practice, research, administration or publication may be inducted. They must hold current R.N. licensure, and have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing or another field. Current Sigma members can be a member of multiple chapters or honor societies.
Traditionally, in honor societies, individuals who qualify and demonstrate leadership potential are invited to join by current society members. If you wish to be considered for membership, contact Karen Schieman by email or at (269) 387-8985.
Membership fee
The annual membership fee is $106 ($80 international fee, $26 Upsilon Epsilon chapter fee). The induction fee is $25. Members of other chapters must pay the $25 fee to be inducted into Upsilon Epsilon.
