Experience-Driven Learning leads to success

After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May 2026, Owen Brey stepped directly into his nursing career, having secured a position prior to graduation. Today, he serves as an Oncology and Bariatric Surgery Nurse at Trinity Health, where he combines compassionate patient care with a passion for continuous learning. 

Owen credits his experience-driven learning opportunities for helping him transition confidently into a clinical role. Through repeated practice and exposure to a wide variety of nursing skills and situations, he developed the confidence and comfort needed to begin his career with the right mindset. 

Looking ahead, Owen is excited by the variety that nursing offers and the opportunity to learn something new every day.
