College of Fine Arts
“Straight out of college I booked a contract with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines dancing on the Freedom of the Seas (known for its heavily technical and endurance testing shows) for 7 months! Performing weekly and getting paid to travel and explore was a dream. Afterward, I wanted to book a job that would allow me to train for long hours and keep pushing myself on the daily. That next season I was hired by Odyssey Dance Theater out in Salt Lake City, Utah for a short seasonal gig, but when it was wrapping up I was asked to stay and join as a full-time company member.

We manage our job fairs through College Central; I approve employers for the fairs, share job postings with faculty and students, and promote marketing provided by College Central to encourage everyone to join it for free to engage on our site.

It's very tough to get a job offer right out of college without having significant experience in some type of medical field. The only reason I was offered my job is because of the experience I had gained through college, which was just from working part time. If you have weekends available for a part time job, take advantage of that and apply to general practitioner offices for a receptionist position.
