New study abroad scholarship tailored for incoming freshmen

Recent studies show study abroad alumni achieve higher grade point averages, graduate at higher rates and receive more job offers compared to students who do not study abroad." Two-tier scholarship program WMU will invite 100 Global Ambassadors Scholarship applicants to campus to participate in the interactive competition.

Regarding her positon at Lear, Grace notes, “It is always new and exciting- I love being able to be innovative and thinking outside of the box.” Grace received her BS in Product Development in December 2014. She completed an internship with Land’s End, which led to her first job as a product developer for outerwear at Land’s End right after graduation. She also completed an internship with a local fashion boutique in Kalamazoo during her studies.

Haenicke Endowed Medallion Scholarship. Grim earned High Academic Honors all four years of high school. She maintained a high GPA while working sometimes two jobs and taking a challenging course load that included Advanced Placement classes. She credits her academic success to making her schoolwork a top priority during high school.

Longtime University Libraries professional loses battle with cancer

Moving to Kalamazoo, he worked as a graduate assistant in WMU's Medieval Institute, a graduate assistant in the Rare Book room at Waldo Library and finally a graduate assistant in the Department of History. He earned a master's degree in medieval studies in 1992 and a doctoral degree in history in 2001, both from WMU. Before accepting a job at Waldo Library, he was an instructor at Indiana University, South Bend, and for three years worked as a bookseller at Barnes & Noble in Portage. Services Visitation is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m.

Autism spectrum services specialist wins regional "Of the Month" award

As a classroom special education teacher, she liked the principles of applied behavior analysis and applying them in her classroom. She is currently “all but dissertation” in a special education program with emphasis in higher education and individuals with autism. “When this job was posted, it was a perfect match of my skills and background,” she said. “I really like working with individuals with autism. It’s a great opportunity to build the program.”
