Juanita Snell stated that Custodial Services has developed a robust training program for newly hired employees. The program is designed to ensure that all employees receive the necessary training and skills to successfully perform their job. Kelly Duncan inquired about safe access procedures and fall protection harness training for the Dunbar Hall green-roof spaces. EHS mentioned that garbage truck lock out / tag out training garbage truck was recently attended by Landscape Services operator personnel.

Unmanned Aerial Systems Operations - Undergraduate Certificate

Another study, conducted by Grand View Research, indicates that the drone market will be worth about $130 billion by 2025. From 2021 to 2022, the remote pilot demand went from 254,000 to just over 361,000, with just over 100,000 jobs created in a year. There will be many high-paying, technical jobs in the very near future and WMU has the resources to train those potential employees. Summary This program is an undergraduate certificate in UAS operations.

As a stand-alone certificate, the three core classes offer the students an opportunity to sharpen skills and knowledge of areas that are currently underserved in the academic world. The top three job titles across the Great Lakes States include cargo manager, data analytics manager, and financial planning and analysts. While we may not cover the cargo manager title directly, the data analytics is thoroughly covered in safety management systems and the financial planning and analysis will be covered in airline business management.
