I do have a significant other back home and I am very excited to see her in a week. We have been dating for around a year and a half and have always had a long-distance relationship, so we are used to being apart most of the time. Obviously neither of us enjoy being apart but we make the best of our time together and have a strong relationship. We have known each other since we were born because our family cottages are right next to each other, so we were lucky enough to spend time together growing up. With the time difference and us having different schedules, communicating has been challenging while I am in Jordan and she is in the United States, so I normally stay up late at night to talk to her. It has not been difficult maintaining our relationship because we both knew this was a great opportunity for me and trusted that our relationship was strong enough to deal with it. These last few weeks of my time in Jordan has been increasingly difficult because it has been almost two months since we have been together, so I am looking forward to getting home to be with her, even though she will make me do all her chores.
