Our Last Day in Bangalore

Our day started with a 7:45am breakfast, followed by a quick briefing about our day. Unfortunately, due to some political uncertainty our visits to the Krishna Consciousness and Akshaya Patra Organization got cancelled. Because of multiple protests against a new citizenship law discriminating against Muslims in this country, multiple roads in Bangalore are closed and keeping us from getting to those organizations.
Even though this was a little disappointing, it was nice to see how we, as a group, were flexible and quickly adapt to our new itinerary. In addition, this gave us a nice break from the busy previous couple days and more time to pack-up and get organized for our presentations later in the day. After breakfast, one of our professors and a group of students, who were briefed on the organization, gave us a quick company overview and showed us pictures of the temple. This way we were still able to learn a little and imagine what the visit would have been like.
Finally, Dr. Palmer lead a group activity giving us all a chance to reflect on our group members and share thoughts of appreciation. Everyone got a piece of paper with their name on it, followed by everyone rotating through and writing a little note of what you appreciated about that particular person. I personally really liked this activity because it gave you a chance to not only reflect on all the company and NGO visits or cultural activities we have done, but also on all the group members that made this trip so memorable, fun, interesting, and thought-provoking.
For the rest of the day, we have a lunch at the nearby mall planned, as well as a quick lecture by the Associate Dean of the Institute of Management, followed by us students putting on a closing ceremony, presenting our learning and key takeaways from this week.
All in all, a perfect day to close out our very eventful week!
