New Junior Tennis Director Kathleen Hawkins joins West Hills Athletic Club

West Hills Athletic Club is excited to introduce Kathleen Hawkins as its Junior tennis director. A Kalamazoo native, Michigan’s 2010 Miss Tennis, and a Bronco alumna, Kathleen brings an exceptional blend of elite playing experience and proven coaching success to her new role.

Kathleen was a standout at Western Michigan University, earning Team MVP honors in 2012 and 2013 and achieving a career-high national singles ranking of No. 55. She finished her collegiate career with multiple tournament titles while consistently leading her team in both singles and doubles.

As a coach, Kathleen has developed players at all levels, guiding athletes to high UTR rankings and helping 16 players reach the state finals at Mattawan High School. Known for her focus on technical development, match strategy, and mental toughness, she is passionate about helping players grow both on and off the court.

Kathleen is dedicated to fostering a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment where players can reach their full potential and develop lifelong love for the game. Please join us in welcoming Kathleen Hawkins to West Hills Athletic Club and back to Western Michigan University.
