Mississippi Turning - Documentary Screening and Q&A with Genesis Be
WMU welcomes Genesis Be — poet, filmmaker, and Global Ambassador for Moral Courage College — for a screening of her documentary Mississippi Turning, followed by a live Q&A on activism, confronting racial issues, and having honest dialogue across disagreement.
This event builds on the Moral Courage "Game Changer" mentor training with Irshad Manji, extending those tools to the broader campus community. Genesis Be will be in residence with the College of Fine Arts all week, engaging students through poetry, music, and visual art.
Thursday, Oct. 1 | 4:30–6 PM | 1025 Brown Hall
Free and open to WMU faculty, staff, and students. Part of We Talk programming.
