Careers
In your experiential courses in the Western Michigan University sustainable brewing program, you will receive instruction in all aspects of brewing science. Classroom work is reinforced through hands-on experience in sustainable brewing practices in a small-scale teaching brewery with comprehensive functionality of industry technology. Internships allow a venue for you to apply your skill sets and what you learned in the classroom to a real world setting.
In advanced courses, students will benefit from WMU faculty expertise in science and sustainability. Through a truly interdisciplinary curriculum built on partnerships and collaboration, students will graduate with a solid foundation in science and with problem solving skills that can be applied to a range of employment opportunities in the brewing industry, in supporting industries or in other food-related enterprises.
