Graduate application instructions
WMU has a new online graduate application system that allows all students, domestic and international, to submit required information into one system. General application information for the University as well as specific requirements for individual programs are captured into this system.
Applicants are asked to include some program-specific information. Links to a summary of the requirements for each of the graduate degrees offered by the department are found below in the Admission requirements section. Applicants are encouraged to bookmark this information for quick reference while working through the graduate application process.
Thank you for your interest in applying for this graduate program.

International Admissions and Services makes an initial admission review within two to four weeks of receiving application packages. At this point the applicant is informed of their admission status or in the case of an incomplete application, which documents are missing. This notification is sent via e-mail.
For graduate applicants, after initial screening, applications are sent to the academic department for review. This step may add an additional eight to twelve weeks, or longer, to the application process. All University admission letters and immigration documents for undergraduate and graduate international students are issued by IAS. Some graduate programs also issue separate departmental admission letters.
