Services provided by the Global Community Empowerment Center at Western Michigan University are delivered to help people and organizations build capacity, create opportunities, overcome barriers and inspire action to alleviate poverty. Such services follow:

• Conducting program evaluations and needs assessments for organizations that serve low-income populations.
• Researching and publishing scholarly articles and opinion pieces.
• Offering classes and training opportunities for individuals and organizations.
• Organizing community discussions and assisting in creating poverty reduction action plans.
