Degrees of Growth Luncheon Series - Featuring Dr. Doug Lepisto, Sleeping Giant Capital

Dispelling Myths at the Intersection of Higher Education and Business

The next speaker in the 2023-24 Degrees of Growth Luncheon Series is Dr. Doug Lepisto, associate professor of management and co-director of the Center for Principled Leadership and Business Strategy at the Haworth College of Business.

With over 10 years of experience in strategy, management consulting and academia, Lepisto is a passionate and accomplished leader, investor and educator. He leads the leadership and business strategy program at the Haworth College of Business, offering immersive experiences and mentorship to students. In addition, he is a founder and managing partner at Sleeping Giant Capital, a private equity firm that partners with investors, business owners and young professionals to create long-term value.

The in-person presentation will be held on Friday, March 15 at noon in 2150 Schneider Hall, with parking available in lot 72R. A light lunch will be provided, and registration is required.

In partnership with Blue Ox Credit Union, the Haworth College of Business is proud to offer the speaker series Degrees of Growth to all community members, university students, alumni, faculty and staff. This luncheon series will bring a diverse group of speakers to WMU to cover a wide range of topics, from how to grow as an entrepreneur, to how to incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion into business practices.
