New Faculty Orientation Fall 2026 

The Office of Faculty Development announces the Fall 2026 New Faculty Orientation program.  All new full-time faculty members and faculty transitioning to new roles at WMU will receive invitations and additional details throughout the summer. NFO is designed to welcome new faculty and support their transition through connections with colleagues, campus resources, and the WMU community. Questions can be directed to the Office of Faculty Development.

New Faculty Orientation 2026 schedule

• Monday, Aug. 17: 12:45 to 5 p.m.
• Tuesday, Aug. 18: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, Aug. 19: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

New Professional Instructors (PIO) will be invited to attend their own orientation program; the date will be announced in May.

Human Resources New Employee Orientation

Human Resources offers an orientation for all new WMU hires, complementary to but distinct from New Faculty Orientation. At New Employee Orientation (NEO), new hires receive essential information regarding benefits, payroll, and working at WMU. New faculty attending the Human Resources NEO on Monday, Aug. 17 (approximately 8:30 to noon) can easily transition to the New Faculty Orientation beginning at 12:45.
