Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Information Session

Posted by Michelle Metro-Roland for Haenicke Institute for Global Education

The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers faculty members and professionals exceptional opportunities to teach, conduct research, or consult in more than 130 countries worldwide. Award lengths vary from two weeks to a full academic year, providing flexibility to meet diverse professional and institutional goals.

During the 2026, Research, Innovation and Creative Scholarship Week the Western Michigan University Fulbright Scholar Liaison will offer a detailed overview of award categories, eligibility requirements, and the application process. The session will also highlight the advising and institutional support provided by the Haenicke Institute’s Fulbright and Faculty Engagement unit, which assists applicants in identifying suitable awards, developing proposals, and preparing competitive applications.
