Understanding China : A WMU Asian Initiatives Lecture Series

WMU Asian Initiatives presents a new lecture series titled "Understanding China." Dr. Yi WU, the new assistant director of WMU Asian Initiatives, will deliver remarks. Sessions will be held in Sangren Hall, Room 4510, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
 
  • March 4, 2026: Galloping into the Year of the Horse: A deep dive into the symbolic and cultural significance of the horse in Chinese literature, art, and idioms.
  • March 11, 2026: Education in China: An overview of the current educational landscape, from primary school through higher education.
  • April 1, 2026: The Life of Chinese Families: A look at daily life in China today, focusing on modern trends among youth and how they contrast with traditional family values.
