Eligible Majors
B.S. in health education (community or school)
Criteria
- Currently pursuing a major in community or school health education, with at least one semester of coursework or internship experience still needed to be completed.
- Minimum WMU (overall) GPA of 3.0.
- Minimum GPA for required WMU health education courses of 3.5.
- Demonstrated Community Development involvement as it relates to the profession of health education.
- Applicants must complete a 200-250 word narrative on the student’s future role in making an impact in the health education field.

$500
Additional Information
Decisions on the award are made during the spring semester. Half of the award funds are disbursed to the student’s account during the following fall semester and the other half is disbursed during the following spring semester. The student must have part-time or full-time status during these semesters for the award funds to be disbursed.
