Hal and Shirley Ray Family Scholarship in Sport and the Arts

ELIGIBLE MAJORS

All majors in the Department of Human Performance and Health Education. 

CRITERIA

• Maintains a GPA deemed satisfactory academic progress by the department.
• Full-time student.
• Preference shall be given to applicants engaged in volunteerism (campus and/or community), art, music, media, theatre, or similar.

AWARD AMOUNT

$1,500

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Annually, each fall, the Chair of the Department of Human Performance and Health Education shall identify and award one student who meets the above criteria.

This scholarship is intended to reflect the life work of Dr. Ray in teaching and research which explored the role of sport in all cultures and the visual arts that recorded and illustrated sport across millenia.
