Latinx Employee Association
The purpose of the Latinx Employee Association (LEA) at Western Michigan University (WMU) is to support the recognition and advancement of Latinx faculty, staff, and students (Latinx Community).
We plan to accomplish the following goals:
· Become an established and recognized resource for the Latinx community
· Strengthen networking of the Latinx community with other stakeholders
· Organize listening sessions to understand issues in the Latinx community
· Recommend and advocate for initiatives that address Latinx needs on campus
· Support efforts for recruitment and retention of Latinx students, staff, and faculty
· Advocate for initiatives that increase academic advancement of the Latinx community
· Promote professional and personal development of Latinx employees
