Comedian Pete Lee coming to campus

KALAMAZOO--Stand-up comedian Pete Lee will be at Western Michigan University for a single show from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Bernie's Comedy Club in the Bernhard Center Ballroom.

Admission is $1 with a valid student Bronco Card, and $2 without.

Pete Lee made his television debut on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend." Since then, he has won Country Music Television's "Next Big Comic," and was selected as a semifinalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." He's also filmed his own Comedy Central Presents special, and his growing popularity placed him 12th on a list of the top 100 comedians in Comedy Central's "Standup Showdown."

Lee has been a standout at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. His CD, "Gasmoney," plays in regular rotation on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio, and he frequents the "Bob and Tom" radio show. He recently created a Web show called Unsportsmanlike Conduct, which attracted the attention of the NFL, earning him a role on an upcoming pilot, "After Further Review," on the NFL Network.
