WSA offering two $1,000 scholarships

KALAMAZOO--Two $1,000 scholarships are available, one for students who can demonstrate they have supported diversity at Western Michigan University, and the other for students who can demonstrate support for students with disabilities.

Applications for both scholarships are available from the Western Student Association online at westernstudentassociation.org and at the WSA office in the Student Organization Center on the main floor of the Bernhard Center.

Applicants for both scholarships must be enrolled full time this semester with plans to enroll full time for fall semester. The awards will be made in fall semester. Applicants for the diversity award must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average. Applicants for the disability scholarship must have a 2.7 GPA, have a personal disability and be registered with Disability Services for Students.

The deadline to apply for both awards has been extended to Friday, March 16, and scholarship recipients will be announced at the April 11 Diversity Awards program.

The scholarships are being offered through WSA in cooperation with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Disability Services for Students.
