KALAMAZOO—The Western Film Society presents the area debut of the comedy "Safety Not Guaranteed," starring Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 19-21, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. Admission is $5 or $3 for current WMU students with a Bronco card.

Winner of the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, the film follows the adventures of Darius (Plaza), a magazine intern who sets out to investigate a mysterious classified ad that reads as follows: "Wanted: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. I have only done this once before. Safety not guaranteed."

Written by Colin Trevorrow and directed by Derek Connolly, the film also stars Jake M. Johnson and Kristen Bell. With a run time of 86 minutes, the film is shown in English and is rated R for language and sexual references.
