Step Afrika
According to its website, Step Afrika is the first professional dance company in the world dedicated to the tradition of stepping, an American dance tradition in which the body is used as an instrument to create rhythms and sounds through a combination of footsteps, claps and spoken word. Step Afrika! is admired worldwide for its efforts to promote an understanding of and appreciation for the tradition’s use as an educational tool for young people worldwide.
