WMU dance student to present at international conference

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University's Ronald Altman is the first undergraduate dance student from the University to be chosen to present his paper at a prestigious international conference.

Altman, a senior from Kalamazoo studying dance and English, had his paper, "Familial Angles: Shapes in Le Sacre du Printemps Influence Les Biches," accepted for inclusion in the "Sacre Celebration: Revisiting, Reflecting, Revisioning" conference sponsored by the Society of Dance History Scholars at York University in Toronto April 18-20.

Altman will join David Curwen, associate professor of dance, who will present "Jinsha, A Recipe for Interdisciplinary Work Within the University" at the same conference.
