Men's soccer to hold walk-on tryouts

Walk-on tryouts for men's soccer will be held Sept. 3.

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University's men's soccer program will hold walk-on tryouts from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the WMU Soccer Complex.

Only current, full-time WMU students may try out for varsity Bronco athletic teams.

A physical, sickle cell test and insurance paperwork must be completed to attend the tryout session. The required physical and insurance forms are available for download at wmubroncos.com. No form is necessary for the sickle cell test. A copy of the results should be turned in with physical and proof of insurance. Physicals and sickle cell tests may be done on campus at the Sindecuse Health Center or by a family physician.

Items to bring to the tryout

  • A current class schedule showing status as a full-time student at WMU
  • Photo identification
  • Proof of Insurance
  • A current physical, including sickle cell test results
  • Transcript (incoming freshmen should provide high school transcript; for returning WMU students and transfers, cumulative from most recent semester)
