Zumba event to raise money for breast cancer research via United Way

KALAMAZOO—Come enjoy a Zumba dance party Sunday, Oct. 27, on the campus of Western Michigan University while raising funds for breast cancer research.

The Zumba Pink Party will run 1 to 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Student Recreation Center. There is a $5 minimum donation with a $1 discount for each non-perishable food item brought up to three items. Donors will be entered in a drawing.

All proceeds with be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southwest Michigan Affiliates, through the United Way of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region and will be reflected toward the campus United Way campaign. So far, the campaign has reached nearly 60 percent of its goal of $300,000.

There is no guest pass fee enforced during the event. Participants are encouraged to wear pink and be creative.
