KALAMAZOO—Area students and residents may explore options for advanced studies during the 2013 Graduate and Professional School Fair from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in the Bernhard Center Ballroom on Western Michigan University's main campus.

The free fair is being sponsored by the Graduate College and Career and Student Employment Services. Although open to the general public, it is geared toward junior and senior college students as well as recent alumni. Pre-registration is not required, and free parking will be available in parking structure No. 1 at the corner of West Michigan Avenue and North Dormitory Road.

Those attending the Graduate and Professional School Fair can learn about some of WMU's 100 graduate programs as well as graduate offerings available at other institutions. In attendance will be representatives from more than 50 graduate, law and medical schools in Michigan and throughout the United States.

Attendees seeking tips on how to apply to graduate and professional schools may participate in one of three workshops being held just before the fair begins. No registration is required for these events, which will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. on the second floor of the Bernhard Center, near the fair's main exhibit hall.
