WMU's Children’s Place Learning Center hosting open house

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University's Children’s Place Learning Center will be "cooking up a good time" at their Family Fun Night, set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the center.

All center families and the University community are welcome at this event, which will feature crafts, games, food and an opportunity to learn about the center's new preschool curriculum, extended hours and back-up care.

Children's Place Learning Center

The Children’s Place Learning Center, located on WMU's West Campus, is an attractive child care option for children of WMU students, faculty and staff as well as the Kalamazoo community. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and partners with WMU's College of Education and Human Development to provide a high-quality educational experience for children.

The center is open 7 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for University holidays, a recess period in December and two staff training days. Programs are available for children aged 18 months through nine years of age. A dedicated preschool program is offered 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. for preschool children.
