Waldo Library a finalist in national photo contest

KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University's Waldo Library has been named a finalist in the national Your Beautiful Library Photo Contest.

Faculty, staff, students and friends of Waldo Library can cast votes through April 9 at solutions.cengage.com/beautifullibrary. Multiple votes may be cast. Waldo is in the Best Curb Appeal' category on the fifth page of photos, and is titled "Waldo Library’s Colorful Entry Area: a Contrast of Structure and Nature." The photo highlights the work that WMU's Landscape Services staff does to maintain the fountain area near the entry of the library.

To vote, click on the "Vote Now" button, select a photo from each category, then click "Next" until the message appears indicating that the votes have been submitted.

About the contest

In addition to Waldo, four other finalists are Michigan libraries: Climax Public Library, Kalamazoo Public Library, Lawrence Memorial Public Library and Muskegon Library all have photos featured in the contest.

The contest is sponsored by Gale Cengage Learning Company; winners will be announced during National Library Week, April 13-19. There are cash prizes for the best overall photo and winner in each category.
