William J. Kowalski obituary
William J. Kowalski, retired assistant vice president for facilities engineering at Western Michigan University, died June 18 in Kalamazoo. He was 91.
A retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel, Kowalski joined the WMU staff in 1966 as director of campus planning and retired in 1985 as assistant vice president for facilities engineering. His involvement included 43 major construction projects on campus with a combined original cost of $69 million for new facilities, renovation, additions and remodeling.
Services
Services were held June 23 at St. Thomas More Parish in Kalamazoo, and burial was at the Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan.
