KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University students who want to become leaders in their registered student organizations are invited to attend the fifth annual Leadership and Involvement Conference Friday and Saturday, Aug. 15-16, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo.

The theme of this year's conference is "Connect Today. Lead Tomorrow." To attend the conference, students must register online at mywmu.com/lic by Friday, July 25.

The cost of the 2014 RSO Leadership Conference is $25. An additional fee is charged depending on lodging choice. Three choices are being offered: $10 for a room shared with four, $25 for a room shared with two, and $100 for a single room. The conference cost and lodging fee can be paid online through registration, or students can be sponsored by University departments or student organizations.

The conference is a professional leadership development opportunity that provides WMU students with the environment and tools necessary for their RSOs to succeed during the 2014-15 academic year and beyond.

Scheduled educational sessions will address such topics as leadership in organizations, career/grad school preparation, personal development and civic engagement.
