WMU trustees to welcome new member, meet in formal session
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Michigan University Board of Trustees will welcome a new trustee, James Bolger of Whitehall, when it meets in a formal session Wednesday, July 23.
Bolger was appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder June 13 to fill a vacancy created this spring when Michelle Crumm of Ann Arbor resigned from the board. Bolger will serve a term that runs through 2020.
Meeting at 1:15 p.m. in Rooms 157-159 of the Bernhard Center, the board also is expected to set 2015-16 rates for a new residence hall complex being constructed on campus. In addition, trustees will consider a recommendation to authorize the administration to negotiate and execute an extension to an agreement with Downtown Tomorrow Inc. regarding the Cole-Gilmore property in downtown Kalamazoo.
The board also will take up a number of other items—gift and grant reports and personnel moves.
