KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The deadline for Western Michigan University employees who supervise students to register to attend the annual Student Employment Summit is Monday, Aug. 4.
The summit will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 7, in 157-159 Bernhard Center. It is being organized by Career and Student Employment Services. Refreshments and handouts will be provided.
In addition to a question-and-answer period, this year's summit will include reviews of several policies and procedures.
Topics to be covered
- Student pay scale that will be effective Sept. 1.
- Student employee hours policy that became effective Jan. 1.
- New student supervisor resources available on the Career and Student Employment Services website.
- Procedure for hiring student staff and creating internships.
