KALAMAZOO. Mich.—Western Michigan University's football team kicks off the 2014 season this Saturday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m. with CommUniverCity Night, an annual celebration that typically draws record crowds to Waldo Stadium. The corporate pre-game tailgating event is invite-only from one of the approximately 31 tent hosts.

That evening, WMU takes on Murray State University in the season opener, which is the Broncos only home game in September. Fireworks are planned as part of the halftime program.

Bronco athletics is promoting a "Brownout at Waldo" for the game, encouraging fans to wear their brown Bronco gear to support the team.
