Business Career Day is October 9
KALAMAZOO—More than 100 employers from throughout the United States are expected to descend this month on the Western Michigan University campus for Business Career Day.
The event is open to the public and is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Bernhard Center East Ballroom, offering students and others an important networking opportunity.
Employers are slated to be on campus for interviews on both Thursday and Friday, Oct. 9-10. In addition, several related events are planned in conjunction with Business Career Day to help students prepare for a career search and to offer additional networking opportunities.
Career Day related events
- Practice Interview Day: 9 a.m to 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3, Career Center, Schneider Hall
- Business Career Day Prep Session: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, Schneider Hall
- ISM Career Night: 6 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, Bernhard Center
- Food Marketing/Sales and Business Marketing Career Night: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, Fetzer Center
Candidates are asked to dress professionally and bring copies of their resumes. A list of participating employers is available at wmich.edu/business/career/programs/fall-programs#CareerDay.
Students are invited to pick up a Business Career Day booklet from the Career Center, located in Room 3020 of Schneider Hall.
